Door to Illumination
12"x12"12", oil on birch panel. My first painting in a long, long time. I've found that starting in ink and then doing thin glazes of color on top allows me to retain detail much better than just going at a canvas with brushes. For my next, I want to let more of the wood grain show through.

Something new
Her name is Thora. I intend for her to become a painting, but I like the look of the ink on wood... I think I might experiment more with that in the future.
